Sam & Philip 7th January 2012 St Marks & Gate Street Barn Surrey

Sam got ready at home and what better place to show off her dress than in the wintry sunshine in the garden! It was a really chilled out morning with time for coffee in her PJs and then a short drive to St Marks down the road. At the church we met the six flower girls (five of which are sisters!) The service was really lovely with lots of songs, readings and prayers personal to Sam & Philip. We took advantage of the January sunshine in the church after the ceremony and then Sam drove the hired Jag to the reception! At Gate Street Barn we set up studio lights to save people getting too cold for group shots. Sam & Philip had requested we set up a fun booth for an hour or so after dinner and it was great fun to let guests strike some poses for the camera! Here are a few of my favourite shots from the day. Zoe & Neil Guildford Registry Office & Cloche Hat Chobham 25th November 2011

Zoe & Neil contacted me just a few weeks before their wedding to ask if I would be happy to cover just a couple of hours photographing their very intimate wedding party. The first phone call we chatted for 40 minutes and I knew although they would not fly into the country until the week of the wedding that we would get on just fine! They had just 10 guests, plus them and me. It was a cold and crisp early ceremony on a Friday morning and I met them at Guildford Registry Office. We took advantage of the fab winter sunshine low in the trees and did some of the couple shots before we left for the short drive to the Cloche Hat in Chobham. They had a room in the upstairs of the restaurant and surrounded by the people who obviously were super important to them they could not look happier! A massive congratulations and thank you for making me so part of your day. x

Marrena & Nick St Marys St Alban & Lenbury Teddington 15th October 2011

Marrena got ready at home with her sister and two gorgeous nephews - It was so lovely to see a big brother so good with his new baby baby brother. The church was just a short five minute walk from the house and with fab October sunshine that stayed all day Marrena walked to the church along the river. It was a touching ceremony at St Mary with St Albans in Teddington and then the entire wedding party took the short walk to the Lensbury Hotel. Nick, his bestman and usher all wore their blue uniforms and looked great. The bride and groom were happy to spend some time in the crisp sunshine and get some fun and fab couple shots. The first dance was also hit! Here are some of my favourites from the day. Congratulations to you both x

Esmari & Steven St Mary Mortlake, Lensbury Teddington 8th October 2011

Esmari got ready at home and then took the very short drive to their local church, St Mary The Virgin Mortlake. We had time before Esmari headed to the church to get some fab shots by some brickwork just outside their home. Esmari and Steven walked into their wedding blessing together and after the ceremony took advantage of the lovely church grounds for couple photographs. It was then taxis for everybody heading to The Lensbury in Teddington. It was rather cold for everyone to head outside so we did the large group shot on the dance floor. It was a really chilled out wedding that, for the first time in a long time, ran early! Here are some of my favourite shots from the day! Congrats! x

Annabel & Matthew: All Saints Kingston, Grove House Froebel College 9th Septemeber 2011

Annabel got ready at her parents home and then we all jumped on the red bus that would later be used for the guests to arrive at the church. Both Annabel & Matthew are professional musicians so music, song and performance was to feature heavily throughout the day. At the church (where I was not allowed to take any pictures during the ceremony - but sneaked in a few!) they had 75 strong Choir - The sound was incredible. After the church service it was back on the bus to the beautiful Grove House which is part of Roehampton University. Although the weather was being little temperamental we managed to get some lovely shots of the couple and get to do all the group shots outside too. Matthew & Annabel then led a short recital after dinner & speeches which was incredible - such a talented group of people. There was a very special moment when Matthew played to each of the mothers - I don't think anyone noticed the tears in my eyes! The first dance was a ceilidh band. They had everyone up and swinging their partners. A great ending to a fab day x Here are a few of my favourites. Congrats guys x

Lucy & Neil: 3rd September 2011 Lensbury Wedding, Teddington

Lucy got ready with all her bridesmaids at the Lensbury in Teddington. Early September seems to be when to get sunshine this year! Lucy's favourite colour is purple and this could be seen all the way through the colour scheme used at the wedding (luckily even the chairs at the Lensbury are already purple!) The ceremony all ran smoothly and the two (very cute) page boys did a great job. As the guests left the ceremony room they were greeted by a very happy bride & groom! We took our chance to get all the group shots done after drinks & then headed down to the river for some lovely shots with just Lucy & Neil. The speeches were heartfelt and funny. After the first dance the page boys did some great knee slides! Would not be a wedding without a knee slide hey?! Here are some of my favourites.

Emma and Martin got married at Parklands, Quendon Hall. It has been reported in the news last week that this year has been the coldest summer since 1993! So I was not expecting blues skies & sunshine to last all day!! It was glorious and lucky really as the ceremony was outside. We had met a few weeks ago at Parklands so we knew some of the places we were going to try and head for photos. I had gone to school with the Grooms brother (who I had not seen for almost 20 years!) so it was a bit of reunion. It was a fabulous wedding and I had a really relaxed & fun day. Zoe & Tom: Aldermaston Manor Reading 28th August 2011

I met Zoe and Tom a year ago tomorrow at Hannah & Jordan's wedding. From the moment we met at that wedding we got on, we giggled and I looked forward to their big day as soon as they booked! They are so much fun & I knew it was going to be a great wedding. I have never shot at Aldermaston Manor in Reading. The library ceremony room was beautiful. All seven bridesmaids got ready with the bride and after a quick 'walking down the aisle' practice with dad it was time to get dressed and do it for real. As the secret door opened in the bookcase there was a cheer as Zoe appeared and Tom could not help but grin & shed a tear. They had asked friends to play guitar and sing during the ceremony and also had some lovely personal readings. The weather was a little stop & start with rain & sunshine so we had to dart in and outside and take the opportunities when we could. We also took some further couple shots in the evening sunshine which was just lovely. The groomsmen were equally happy to mess around and the jumping shot of everyone was in the rain! Thank you to all of you for working around the weather and being happy to let me snap away when the times were right. It was a wedding of lots of giggles and brilliant, funny speeches. Amy & Ryan: Pembroke Lodge Richmond Park 25th August 2011

Amy got ready at Richmond Hill Hotel with her four bridesmaids. It was very funny to see them all practicing their walk down the aisle whilst Amy sat and had her makeup finished. There was a great fun filled atmosphere from the moment I arrived - considering it had rained all morning we were all rather nervous we would ever see blue skies but as you can see it did happen! Seeing Amy's dad seeing her in her dress for the first time was a fab moment. The ceremony at Pembroke Lodge was just lovely and it was then outside for some of the group shots. Amy & Ryan had booked a white wedding taxi cab and wished to take a drive to the highest point in the park to be away just the two of them for their photos. After popping the champagne cork we took a drive and found a great spot, we then headed back for the speeches. After dinner we took the opportunity to get shots with the whole wedding party of bridesmaids and ushers - a great gang of people! I had a fab day and here are a few of my favourites x

Laura & Jeremy: Guilford Registry Office The Mill Elstead 6th Augsut 2011

Laura & Jeremy did their wedding their way. They arrived together and walked down the aisle hand in hand. After a shower confetti at the registry office the guests headed to The Mill at Elstead. The wedding party enjoyed the weather and mingled outside with drinks - after finishing the rest of the group shots we headed for a little walk to get some lovely shots of Laura & Jeremy. It was a really chilled out & fun afternoon. We also got some fun shots with their company van before the end of the night. Here are some of my favourites x

Claire & Simon: Sacred Heart, Caterham & South Lodge Horsham 5th August 2011

Claire got ready at her parents home. It was a giggly morning with her twin sister and best friend as bridesmaids - and a friend who did her makeup - all lovely & chilled. We managed to get out into the garden before they left for the church to take some lovely shots. Father Kieran had the bride & groom face their wedding guests as they did their vows which was great for photos as we got to see them! After a high five for dad as Claire left the church and a shower of confetti it was off to South Lodge Hotel Horsham. The sun was out in force and it was HOT! We had found a great spot when we did the pre wedding shoot so we headed there for some of the couple shots for Claire & Simon. They had a close up magician Spencer Wood who was great and Ive seen at weddings before. We waited till after dinner to do some shots with the flower girl and page boy when it was a little cooler & squeeze in a few more couple shots! I had a brilliant day and for now some of my favourites... x

Faye & Danny: Godalming, Surrey: 30th July 2011

Faye and Danny decided to have a really personal wedding blessing & party in Faye's parents beautiful garden. It was one of those weddings when everyone had hoped for blue skies and they got them! It was glorious all day. Faye got ready with her bridesmaids and was able to watch all the guests arriving through the top bedroom window. It was a really lovely atmosphere and a fab garden party that also happened to be a wedding. The marquee was decorated with lots of hanging birds. The speeches were brill and even included a song that Danny had written especially for Faye! I had a great day and here are some of my favourites as a sneak peek.

Kelly & Kenny: 23rd July 2011 Party Photobooth

Kelly and Kenny had asked that I bring props so that they could set up a fun photobooth for the guests to have fun throughout the evening. They had got married in Thailand in April this year so this day was to be one HUGE party! I set up the lights and props in the summer house in the garden and we had a great giggle! Kelly & Kenny: 23rd July 2011 Southminster Essex

Kelly & Kenny had already tied the knot in Thailand in April - this was celebration number two! It was amazing for those who had not made the Thailand wedding to be part of - there was a short ceremony & then a FAB party! They had worked so hard on so many beautiful details that had to be featured in the blog and we also had a great trip down the road and found a field for couple shots! The whole event took place in Kelly's parents garden & home. There will be a PART 2 of just the 'photo booth' shots with silly fancy dress and fun - for now just one where I am featured too!

Tracy & Jack: 9th July 2011 Lensbury, Teddington

Tracy got ready with her bridesmaids, flower girls, pageboys all in the same room at the Lensbury in Teddington! It was fab chaos so the book '100 tips for a stress free wedding morning' made me giggle! The ceremony took place in the newly refurbished Wimbledon Suite. Tracy & Jack have been together for years and it was lovely to see them looking so giggly and in love. It was then outside for confetti and group shots and it seemed like it was going to rain - but the weather stayed fine and we even got some blue skies. During the meal a secret entertainment had been arranged by the bride for 'singing waiters' - They were BRILL and had the whole wedding party waving their napkins and on their feet. The speeches were lovely and emotional too - even had me in tears! We headed back outside in the evening sunlight before first dance and got some fun shots with heart balloons too. A fab wedding. Gemma & Sam: Hartsfield Manor 19th June 2011

Gemma got ready at the Hartsfield Manor hotel with her two bridesmaids and super cute flower girl (who seems to have an early liking of shoes!). After the ceremony it was outside for pimms & nibbles - Gemma had placed a lovely string of decorative hears between two of the trees which was a lovely personal touch. During the dinner the FAB David Lewis did cartoon drawings of all the guest - It was fab entertainment & very funny results. Sam's sister played the piano beautifully & then the speeches were touching & heart felt - The evening sunshine was just beautiful so I managed to sneak Gemma & Sam away for some more pictures too. There was a bouncy castle set up for kiddes & adults alike and it was very funny to see Gemma & Sam have a bounce too! Congratulations guys! Vicky & James Talbot Inn Ripley 11th June 2011

I met Vicky & James when I took pregnancy bump shots for them back in June 2010 and I then returned when their daughter was just a few days old for a newborn shoot. I was over the moon when they asked if I would like to take photographs at their wedding. The whole day took place at Talbot Inn in Ripley. Their daughter, Jessica was the flower girl. The weather has not been behaving recently and I was super surprised when we actually had blue skies. Vicky & James have been together for years, it was so lovely to see how in love they looked during the ceremony. We had a little walk after the ceremony to allow them some time alone to get some beautiful shots together. Once dinner & speeches were over the rain had arrived so we did some of the group & couple shots in one the barn rooms with studio lights. We had some fun with some props too. It was great to get some fun shots of Vicky dancing with her best mates on the dance floor & the rain held off to get some late night shots with the fairy lights outside too. Rebecca & Tim: St Edmunds Church & Runnymede Hotel 30th May 2011

I met Bex & Tim last year at a wedding when Tim was best man & Bex was then pregnant with their beautiful daughter Annabel. We talked about me doing baby shots for them (which I did when Annabel was a couple of weeks old) and of their wedding too. I love weddings where I feel like I am hanging out with friends and this was definitely one of those! Bex got ready at her parents home with her daughter as flower girl & six fab bridesmaids. As Annabel was fed her lunch she seemed completely at ease with the chaos that was going on around her. It was hard not to tear up when Bex's Dad & Auntie sang at the church - it was stunning. As we left the church the clouds got more and more gray! We then headed to the Runnymede - where the ladies outside were oblivious to their being in shot so I kept them in for one! - Made me giggle! There is a buttercup field opp the hotel we had found at the pre wedding shoot & we in the pouring rain got about 2 shots before we had to take shelter. It then did not stop raining till after dinner - so the large group shot was done at 8pm before the first dance! Sometimes you have to break the rules and do what works on the day! So here is my sneak peak - You will see Annabel features lots, she is just yummy. It was a great day! Congrats guys! x

Lizzie & Andy: 29th May 2011 St Winefreds Church & Pembroke Lodge Richmond

Lizzie got ready at home with her four bridesmaids. It was a really lovely girly & chilled morning. There is a great area in their front room that is just blank wall lovingly known as 'The Void' - Just by the window & was fab for some beautiful window lit shots. I left Lizzie smiling & waiting with her father on the sofa at home as I left with the bridesmaids & headed to the church in Wimbledon. The ceremony was at St Winefreds in SW19 - Lizzie & Andy were keen to use the zebra crossing outside the church with their wedding party, stopping traffic was fun! The wedding party then headed to Pembroke Lodge in Richmond Park via coaches. I had some time with the couple before all their guests arrived which was lovely & for a brief moment we did get some sunshine! The speeches were fun & the evening light was just gorgeous. I had lots of favourites & here is my rather extended sneaky peak! Congrats to Lizzie & Andy x

Rachel & Noel: 21st May 2011 St Mary with St Alban & Strawberry Hill House

Rachel got ready with all her bridesmaids at her parents home in Teddington. Having been off on Maternity leave from weddings since November 2010 I was super excited to be back to work! Rachel & Noel got married in a beautiful little Teddington Church, St Marys with St Albans. It was a seriously hot day and we were lucky to have blue skies all day. The reception was held at Strawberry Hill House which I love as it is part of St Marys University which is was my university - A beautiful setting for the photos. We decided to take a walk in the early evening sunshine after dinner to get some more photos with Rachel & Noel. I had a blast at the wedding! Melanie & Lewis: St Mary's Church & The Grange Country House, Northwood 19th November 2010

Melanie & Lewis got married at the local church St Mary's in Harefield - we were lucky to get some of the last November wintry sunshine. The ceremony was lovely and their son, Harrison was great - he happily wondered around the church allowing us to get some candid shots of him. Once the ceremony was over the guests were invited to take the Routemaster bus to The Grange Country House in Northwood. We decided to do most of the couple shots at the church to take advantage of the light as the ceremony was late in the afternoon. We set up lights to do the group shots indoors and to try and keep everyone inside and warm! The speeches were heart felt and very funny - some great reaction shots! A massive congratulations to Melanie & Lewis - here is a sneak peak of some of our favourites from the day... x

Kelly & Martin: Fredericks, Angel London 3rd October 2010

Kelly & Martin had decided to do something really special before their ceremony and meet up first! There ceremony was not until late in the afternoon and they wanted to make sure we had enough light for all their funky street couple photographs! So we arranged them outside the venue and with two photographers were able to get their genuine reaction & excitement to seeing each other for the first time on their wedding day! It was super fun and emotional. We then took a walk around the quirky streets where Kelly & Martin were treated by local shop owners with ice cream & truffles!! We also were able to get shots with the wedding party before the ceremony too! The ceremony took place at the very cool & funky restaurant in Angel, Fredericks. Once the ceremony was over there was a fab receiving line as many guests had travelled from all over the world to be there. It was then outside for the large group shots & back inside for dinner & speeches. Krispy Kreme doughnuts were served with tea & coffee! Mmmm! And then that FAB first dance! It was such a giggle. We had a great day and here is a sneak peak of some of the shots we got! x :)

Megan & Tom: St Pauls, Dorking & Ramster Chiddingfold 2nd October 2010

Megan got ready her parents home with her bridesmaids, pageboy & flower girl. The wedding party then took a short drive on to their local church in Dorking. The ceremony was lovely with a great speech from the vicar. The weather behaved itself until about 10 minutes after the ceremony. Luckily the couple had planned to have a short drinks reception with their guests at the church before heading onto the Ramster. Once we arrived at Ramster we decided it was best to get the couple shots done first and so took a wonder with Megan & Tom around the grounds. We then did all the group shots in doors and set up some studio lights in the beautiful drawing room. The speeches were great and very funny. We took advantage of the interior of the building for some more couple shots after dinner. A great day! Here is a sneaky peak at some of my fav shots so far...
